IgM antibodies are detectable one week after infection and are maximum at 2 to 4 weeks after the start of disease and remain detectable for up to three weeks. The presence indicates a recent infection, the traces of IgG indicates a past infection, and its anti-bodies take longer to develop but remain in the body for many years.

• Rest as much as possible
• For fever and pain take paracetamol
• Stay hydrated , use plenty of fluids including water and drinks with added electrolytes
